This offseason really sucks. Right now we should be all getting pumped about the upcoming season. But CBA dookie has really dragged things down.

I feel really really bad for Cody's dad. He must be beside himself.

Would absolutely LOVE to see Girgs make this team, but good Lord, we'd have a day care center for our top 3 centers.

But, then again, maybe that's just what the doctor ordered. Lots of fire and enthusiasm up the gut. I like it.

The kid will probably make the team out of camp based on his hustle and the Sabres' need for another pivot alone. Works for me.

Girgs between Ott and Leino (?) intrigues me.

He's already made a call to Darcy Regier requesting a trade. However, since Darcy Regier never picks up his phone, he still doesn't know this yet. Mr. Hodgson is going to try a new approach, the fax machine, this week.

I can't see him playing on the top line this year (If and when there's a season.) His foot speed and positioning won't be top line ready. However, I can see him slotting in as the 3rd line pivot. As of right now there is no 3rd line cetreman. Ott, Leino and Gerbe are not centres.

As long as he can play tough and gritty with scoring then he will be a great first rd pick, the last thing we need is more guys who are 5 goal scorers.

I'm sure they will both play for the next season.. To bad that season will be in 2013-2014.

I hate the thought of missing games this season. I'm usually in a mouth foaming frenzy right now with anticipation of camp and pre-season. This CBA bullpoop is killing me (us) I am , however, glad it happened this year and not next year. I believe 13-14 is going to be the best year for our Sabres. Grigo and Girgs with another year of maturity and playing experience. And the arrival of someone that is going to raise the bar on this club, Joel Armia. I can not wait to get those 3 together in a blue and gold sweater!! See I'm starting to froth up again!!!!

next to zero % chance this kid makes this team, but he will be an absolute beast on the 2nd/3rd line for this team for the entirety of his career. grigor has a much better chance to crack the squad but i still dont see him sniffing it. sabres rooks never make it

I'm being sarcastic. And I personally don't think there will be a season until at least January. I hope they prove me wrong.

I'm psyched about this kid being a Sabre, hopeful about Girogenko. I don't see either of them making the team this "season" but am looking forward to the future....which will apparently be ruled by giant ants and overpriced arena beers.

Although I personally think that both sides can burn in hell, I also believe that they both realize what's at stake here, and the season will start sooner rather than later.
